The Labyrinth edition was inspired by a lifelong sense of curiosity and the early experience of trying to understand Bitcoin—likened to solving a complex puzzle. This edition features a dexterity maze, challenging users to guide all the balls to the center.

Released in 2015 as the second Kialara edition, it comes in two main versions: one with .999 silver balls and another with ceramic balls, each offering a unique gameplay experience.

Puzzles, mazes, and enigmas hold deep symbolic value within the Bitcoin community. The concept of an enigma is often used to describe the mining process, where the computer that solves the puzzle fastest is rewarded. Labyrinth reflects this idea, emphasizing the role of problem-solving in the ecosystem.

The piece also taps into a sense of nostalgia—reminiscent of childhood dexterity toys—while giving shape to abstract computational ideas. The labyrinth serves as a metaphor for Bitcoin’s broader journey: a trial-and-error process toward discovering new forms of value.

Its distinctive design appears to have influenced later works by other mints, including the Royal Canadian Mint and the Mint of Poland—highlighting the lasting impact of this edition.
